Strength Training

For some people (E.g. those with a low basal/resting metabolic rate) strength training may also help improve your metabolism.​

Focusing on larger muscle groups is an effective way to achieve good general strength improvement in minimal time. Some suggestions for strength training exercises are:

  • Leg press
  • Squats, lunges and other body weight resistance type exercises
  • Pump classes
  • Pilates & core strength exercises

If you are doing some of your interval sessions on a bike with high resistance for the interval, you are getting a good strengthening effect from these also.

! Do not combining Interval Sessions with Strength Sessions. Interval sessions should always be done on fresh legs.
